Elite DNA Behavioral Health
Elite DNA Behavioral Health offers clinical preceptorship opportunities for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) students seeking clinical practicum experience in outpatient behavioral health settings.
Please note: Elite DNA has a robust therapy training program for counseling and social work students; therefore, we are not able to support psychotherapy hour requirements for PMHNP programs.
Our organization is committed to supporting the next generation of psychiatric providers by offering high-quality clinical training experiences alongside experienced psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Due to the high level of interest and the limited availability of preceptors across our locations, placement opportunities vary throughout the year and are not always available in every region.
Clinical Experience Overview
PMHNP students placed with Elite DNA may gain experience in:
- Psychiatric evaluations
- Medication management
- Diagnosis and treatment planning
- Outpatient psychiatric care across the lifespan
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with therapists and medical providers
- Behavioral health documentation and treatment planning
Clinical experiences take place within Elite DNA Behavioral Health outpatient clinics throughout Florida.
Placement Availability
Preceptor availability depends on several factors, including:
- Location
- Preceptor schedule and patient volume
- Academic program requirements
- Timing of the requested clinical rotation
Because availability varies, not all application submissions will result in a placement opportunity. If a suitable opportunity becomes available that aligns with your requested location and timeline, a member of our team will contact you directly.

Students applying for placement should:
- Be enrolled in an accredited PMHNP program
- Be in good standing with their academic institution

Additional documentation may be required prior to placement.
Rotation Information
